Catherine has had over 20 years experience of organising exhibitions. From her first major research and co-ordinators role for the Wyndham Lewis: Art and War exhibition held at the Imperial War Museum, London in 1992; her two major exhibitions held simultaneously at Falmouth Art Gallery and the Royal Cornwall Museum on the artist Henry Scott Tuke called Catching the Light in 2008, followed by  her Co-ordinators role on Sir Joshua Reynolds: The Acquisition of Genius at Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery  2009/10 and most recently her role as Art historical advisor to Torre Abbey, Torquay in 2011/12.

Catherine has worked with many organisations as an exhibitions organiser including the Wyndham Lewis Memorial Trust/ the Imperial War Museum, Falmouth Art Gallery, the Royal Cornwall Museum, Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and Torre Abbey, Torquay.

Catherine can offer assistance with the initial scoping, researching and fundraising stages of an exhibition or arts/ heritage project including writing grant applications to The Heritage and Arts Lottery in the UK.

Catherine can offer the following services to assist with delivering exhibitions:
budget management, marketing, dealing with and organizing transport of works of art, insurance including Government Indemnity applications, exhibition layout and design, interpretation, conservation requirements and assessments, environmental monitoring requirements, label and wall text writing, installation and condition checking.

Catherine  gained  a wide and varied of knowledge in organising exhibitions when she was curator of Falmouth Art Gallery for eight years. She has a broad knowledge of art history with a focus on British late 19th century and early 20th century art, including painting, printmaking and sculpture. She has written several books and is the author of numerous catalogue  essays as well as a articles on aspects of Cornish historic and contemporary art. See Writing and publications

Catherine is  up to date with all the requirements of a Museum and art gallery environment and can offer the delivery of both her own and other Museum’s arts and heritage exhibitions to the highest standard.
